Peel the backing off the 3M adhesive on both the strip and the battery box, press them firmly onto a clean dry surface for about 30 seconds, then insert 4 AA batteries or connect a USB cable. No drilling, screws, or extra hardware are required.
Can I cut the strip to a shorter length?
Yes. The strip has clearly marked cut points along its length. Cut only on those marks with scissors, and the remaining section will continue to work normally. Use a small piece of electrical tape to seal the cut end if you mount it in a dusty area.
How do I switch between battery mode and USB mode?
The battery box and USB port are independent inputs. To run on batteries, simply leave the USB cable unplugged and insert 4 AA batteries. To run on USB, disconnect the battery box from the strip and connect any standard USB power source instead.
Does it work with any USB power source?
Yes. It is compatible with any standard 5V USB port, including phone chargers, power banks, laptop ports, and TV USB outputs. A 1A or higher source is recommended for full brightness.
